Wild garlic (Allium Ursinum), also known as wild garlic, is a perennial herbaceous plant.
Bear garlic was considered a magical plant that protected against evil in general! In the Odyssey, Hermes gives garlic to Odysseus to protect him from Circe's spells. The Egyptians made it a deity and the Romans too. This belief in the tonic and stimulating virtues of garlic lasted until the Renaissance.
In magic it was used for protection in general but also to increase the effect of certain spells.
