Ganesh removes all obstacles to your success. He strikes with his powerful foot, dispels all evils and plagues and opens all roads. He is the scribe of the gods and rules over the intellect. He grants great wealth. One of his familiars is the mouse who is of course at home in the attics, and he, in the same way, rules over the riches of the earth over which he has authority. Often you will find engravings depicting Lakshmi, Ganesh and Saraswati, goddess of intelligence and poetry, together. This is to show the extraordinary power they can have when all three are together.
