Marjoram is an annual or biennial plant, semi-hardy, whose stems divide directly from the root, and can reach a height of 60 cm. These stems carry small round aromatic and fluffy leaves of color gray-green, and white to mauve flowers which give place to achenes divided into four parts.
Marjoram is used in love charms and is also added to food to strengthen love. It protects the person who wears it, as well as the house in which it is placed in each room (to be renewed every month). Planted in the garden it will protect you and your house against evil. When placed in a coffin, or planted on a grave, Marjoram is said to bring the soul to safety in the next world. Violet and Marjoram, mixed together, are worn during the winter to protect against the common cold. Given to a depressed person, Marjoram will bring him joy. Finally it is also used in potions and money bags.
